Keep spending in check and see which shop is cheaper.

Set a monthly budget

1. Open the Insights tab.
2. In the Budgets section, tap Set up (or Edit if you already have budgets).
3. Pick a category such as Dairy or Pantry & Staples and set its monthly limit.

Insights then shows how much of each budget you've used this month.

Budget alerts and reminders

Open Profile and look under Reminders:

• Budget alerts tell you when a category reaches 80% and 100% of its budget.
• Daily receipt reminder nudges you to scan today's shopping, at a time you choose.
• Monthly summary shows your spending on the 1st of each month.

If you don't see reminders in Profile, check that notifications are allowed for Bill Eka in your phone's settings.

Spending insights

The Insights tab shows a six-month trend, a breakdown by category and where you shop. You can look at this month, last month or the last three months.

Compare prices

The Prices tab shows what you paid for the same item at each supermarket and how the price has moved over time. It only uses your own receipts, so it gets more useful the more you scan. To judge a price before you buy, use Shelf tag on the scan screen.

Shopping list

The List tab suggests what you usually buy and estimates what your list would cost at each store you've shopped in. Your shopping list is kept on your phone, not on our servers, so it doesn't move with your receipts if you switch accounts.
